CREATIVE WRITING INTENSIVE:
One Day Only Saturday April 9th from 9-5.
This year’s theme is “Trick Your Way Past Resistance: or How to Sneak Your Way in at the Side Door When the Front Door is Blocked.”
This special all-day writing workshop is designed to unlock intuition, hone skills, deepen relationships to existing material, try out new tools, network with other writers, fill notebooks with promising new material, and learn skills for bypassing the inner nay-sayer.
This workshop is hosted by award-winning and critically acclaimed writer/performer Kim Porter who was recently named Best Storyteller by the Phoenix New Times.
Kim has lured in guest artists and local treasures from a variety of disciplines —poets, improvisers, storytellers, graphic novelists, creative non-fiction writers, and playwrights—to share their best exercises for coming at writing from the side.
Instructors include: Amy Silverman, Deborah Sussman, Jose Gonzalez, Rebecca Ewan, Dan Hull, Kim Porter, Ashley Naftule and MORE. This workshop is for writers at all stages of their development. The Intensive runs from 9 AM until 5 PM Saturday April 9th.
Lunch and snacks will be provided.
The minimum fee is $100. Donate more if you can! 100% of the proceeds benefit Space 55. Ages 16 and up. (Participants under 18 need parental consent.)
This one day writing intensive is a fund-raiser for Space 55 Theatre Company and will be hosted by The Actor’s Workhouse which is located at 604 E Pierce St, Phoenix, AZ 85004 (Next door to Space 55.)
